Tantric Workshops - What Are They Good For?

A Tantric workshop is an opportunity for you to find out a bit about Tantra. Whether it is a two day workshop or a five day workshop, the bottom line remains the same: you are being introduced to Tantra within a small period of time.  After that, if you think you would like to know more about Tantra, you've got to get on a Tantric course.

Tantric workshops can have different curriculum, according to the background of the person who hosts the workshop. In general, the mystery of spiritual eroticism is linked to relevant information from Yoga, Taoism, Tibetan Buddhism. Outprints can be handed out, and the workshops are marked by many exemplifications, meditations and sometimes even initiations (energy inductions). There is no nudity involved and it's all educational and informational.

A Tantric workshop is more like a sample (the same with a Tantric massage). Call it a Tantra Teaser..  If you are not sure whether Tantra is for you or not, go for a short one - even a one day introduction would do!

How To Introduce Tantra Into Your Relationship

If you feel your sexual life has reached a plateau and there is a lack of excitement in the bedroom, it's time to give Tantric sex a go! Some people can be sceptical about Tantric sex because they don't know enough about it or they don't want to know about it at all. Here is a mini guide on how to introduce tantra into your relationship.

1. You need to explain to your partner that you would like to take your intimate life to another level, explore something new and have fun in the same time. If your partner is not so keen on giving it a try, talk to her about the goals of Tantric sex (not the methods). Tell her it's not about the orgasm, it's about experiencing a deeper mind-body connection that would allow you two to be closer emotionally as well. Who can say "no" to this??

2. You could tell her you have come across an article in a magazine or a website on Tantra and it's something you'd like to give it a try. It's nothing "kinky" about it and it has lots to do with scented candles and oils , soft music in the background, massage, relaxation, emotional and physical indulgence and developing a body-mind awareness together using easy breathing techniques.

3. Prepare a nice quiet spot in your place for this Tantric experience. Dim the lights, use candles, choose some nice music, spread rose petals on the bed.

4. Sit down facing each other, gaze into each other's eyes and start syncing your breathing. Take deep breaths from your stomach, inhale when she is exhaling and vice versa. Soon you'll feel part of the same breath.

5. Give your partner a sensual massage. You don't have to be a certified masseur to do this. Stroke and gently rub her legs, back, neck and sensitive parts. pay attention to what she responds. It's all about meeting each other's needs, after all. A sensual relaxing touch will emerge your partner into a blissful state of relaxation.

6. By now you should both have opened your heart and senses to each other. Enjoy the journey of Tantra rather focusing on your immediate pleasure (climax). It will take you to a whole new level of physical , emotional and spiritual level.

Going For A Tantric Massage For The First Time? What To Expect ....

Good news! Nobody has ever died from a Tantric Massage!! On the contrary... people feel more alive after the session. Provided that you have done your research online prior to booking and you have found the right therapist for you, there is nothing to worry about (privacy, discretion, hygiene).

First of all a Tantric massage is a relaxing therapeutic experience. You might feel anxious/ nervous to start with but this is normal as you are in a new environment and you don't know what to expect. If the masseuse is friendly and treats you like a guest, you'll feel at ease from the beginning.

Second, a Tantric massage is a sensual experience at the same time. The nude body to body massage will feel more intimate and more erotic due to the body to body contact. The Lingham massage at the end is meant to help you practise control, and you are encouraged to postpone an ejaculation. If the masseuse is a true practitioner, she can even teach you a few basic control techniques if you so wish. Ejaculation is not the aim of the session anyway. If this happens, that's fine too... All in one,  it's the journey, not the destination!

Is Tantra A Spiritual Path?

Is Tantra a spiritual path? why do they call it spiritual when it seems like it has a lot to do with sexual energy, sensual touch and having a powerful orgasm?? Can sex be sacred?

Spirituality has a unique definition for each of us. It is a vast concept that most of us connect to religion  nowadays.

In yoga, the same as in Tantra, spirituality is a practical thing. You don't have to believe things, you have to verify them through your own practise.

In Tantra, spirituality starts from individual practise. Theory is just a formula. Here is a video that looks at the difference between religion and spirituality, and explores the practical side of the spiritual path in Yoga.

Tantra & Love

Become loving. When you are in the embrace, become the embrace. Become the kiss. Forget yourself so totally that you can say, “I am no more. Only love exists.” Then the heart is not beating, but love is beating. Then the blood is not circulating, but love is circulating. Then eyes are not seeing, love is seeing (Osho)

Tantra often refers to Universal Love as the only source we can receive love from unconditionally.

To become loving, think and act lovingly. The law of resonance applies here too. What you think is what you are; this is how others will perceive you.

Start with loving yourself, then you will love your neighbour too! To be able to manifest love, we have to find it within ourselves first.
